On Thursday Fiona, Dever, Nora, Juju, Jen, Mom, and I all piled into the minivan and set off to see the Richert's farm. When we got there we all raced to the barn to see Firecracker, the cat we rescued and then we began exploring all of the animals. Alaina and Sabrina were happy to show all of us the farm and their dad spent about an hour driving Juju around on the tractor. Around and Around and Around until Juju's smile was so big that it looked like he had eaten all of the candy in the world; he was extremely happy! While Juju was riding we all got to pet tiny tiny chicks, so cute, and feed corn to very hungry lambs. Dever reports "feeding the lambs made your hands feel wet and sticky."
Then Anita pointed out the turkey nests to us. One of them had hollowed out a pile of sticks. Imagine sitting on that. Ouch! At the end of our visit we all tumbled into their truck and drove out to the log cabin that they just finished patching up. Juju enjoyed jumping on the camp bed even though he was not supposed to! Two year olds! Then we all loaded back into the mini van and drove away. I look forward to seeing the farm again!!!
