Colorado Trip Day 3 (Friday 19, 2010)

Waking up we lounged around the condo for about an hour. Finally around 9:39 am we left for Ski Broker, in Fraser. Once we got there we filled out our forms for ski rental. After about a half an hour everyone was all set to go to Mary Jane, the ski resort. Then trouble struck. My boots were uncomfortable so I tried some different ones on. Well, those decided not to fit either so I tried another pair on. I think I tried on about 4 different pairs, until I finally found one that fit. Then we headed off to Mary Jane. After taking a bathroom break we hurried out onto the slopes. Mom and Juju went off to Shoofly, the easiest run in Mary Jane. Dever, Papa, and I went off to a more advanced run. Then we dropped Dever off to ski with my Mom and Juju. Papa and I went up to Parsenn Bowl to go down some black diamonds. Around 4:38 we left the ski resort. When we arrived home Dever went to play the violin, Mom started to cook diner, and I was reading. After a delicious dinner we went down to the hot tub, something that Juju has been wanting to do since my parents told him we were going to Colorado, about 2 months ago. Then Aunt Silvia, Uncle Frank, and Veronica came over to eat dinner and play card games. I spent the night at Veronica's after lots of games of Sleeping Queen's. Then the rest of the Kemme Nash's went to bed to get a much needed rest!

Colorado Trip Day 2 (Thursday 18, 2010)

When we woke up we ate the Pop-Tarts that we had bought the day earlier. We left the hotel around 8:00 am, to catch a shuttle to the airport. Upon arriving at the airport we had our second breakfast of burritos. We cruised though security, being the ONLY people in the line helped! The plane left around 9:45 am, for the 2 hour and 25 minute flight. Even though the flight was almost 2 and a half hours long we arrived 35 minutes later in Denver Colorado, around 10:20 pm. Our plane arrived 30 minutes early, so as you might suspect we spent 30 minutes waiting on the runway, to get to our gate. Aunt Silvia picked us up around 11:30 and drove us up to her house in Golden. While we were there we played the violin and decided to go to the park. For some reason we managed to stay there for around 2 hours without even noticing the passing of time. While there my parents walked on the path and Juju lost his sunglasses 3 times. Back at her house we arrived to Veronica walking home from school, and Uncle Frank home from work. While my parents went to the store to shop for the necessities Dever went inside to work on Google Earth with Uncle Frank. I played outside with Veronica and Juju. We finally left their house around 5:00 pm. We arrived in the mountains about 7:00 pm. Once to the condo we began to unpack, first of course we ordered pizza. The pizza finally arived around 9:00 pm. After we devoured the pizza everyone fell into bed worn out to the bone! However everyone was looking forward to skiing the next day.

Colorado Trip Day 1 (Wednesday 17, 2010)

Well our Colorado trip 2010 got off to a good start! We left the house around 4:30 pm. We were doing great and hadn't stopped at all until around 6:00 pm we stopped at Meijers to grab a quick bite to eat. Even though we learned that Meijer's has pretty good sushi Mom resolved NEVER to eat there again. We arrived at our hotel, Crown Plaza, around 8:oo pm. Instantly we fell in love with the hotel. Besides being about ten minutes away from the airport Crown Plaza had a swimming pool and a glass elevator. After trying 3 different elevators we finally found our room. We leaped into our swimsuits right away, and flew down the hallway, into the elevator, and then, with one huge splash we jumped into the swimming pool. Juju practically lived in the hot tub with my dad while Dever, and I dominated the pool. Mom left to get some more food the satisfy her pregnant stomach. Then we all went back to the 4th floor hotel room! Everyone lay in bed sweltering in the heat of the room. Everyone was eager to be on our way tomorrow, to Colorado!

First Garage Roof Visit of 2010

We started the morning off right by waking up at 6:45 and changing the clock to the real time (7:45), and then eating breakfast and going into the living room to read. After that we went outside to go onto the roof. Even though it was frigid out, we managed to stay out for about 10 minutes. We discovered a colossal tree branch that had fallen on the roof. It was probably the size of the entire garage roof and it was so heavy that we couldn't lift it. The roof was also very slippery, and Sydney fell twice. Maria nearly fell twice, NEARLY is the key word there. Enjoy the pictures!
