As you most likely already know, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, is. . . dead. At the young age of 50, he suffered a fatal heart attack. Millions of people worldwide grieved the loss of this musical icon. His amazing legacy will live on forever in the hearts of Americans, and the world. Many of you probably watched the memorial service held in Los Angeles, and felt a tug at your heart strings when his daughter broke down into tears at the end of the service. There isn't much more to say, except that I (Maria) have had I'll Be There stuck in my head for the past month (stupid radio).
The ironic thing about this is that in God's eyes, Michael Jackson's death is equal to a random stranger passing away. The King of Pop dying is just as tragic as anyone else dying. Think about it, people die every day, and do they get huge memorial services? No. I think we can learn a valuable lesson here. That everyone is equally precious in the sight of the Lord. Nobody, not even Barack Obama, is more important than the next person. Rest in Peace, Michael Jackson.
