Here we are in rainy Chicago, with all the rain you want, for free!!! We left yesterday, at about 2:30. Of course my mom told the teachers that we were going to be picked up at 1 o'clock so yours truly didn't get to go out for recess. The drive up was fairly uneventful. We had left Juju at my grandparents house so you could definitely call the drive peaceful! We got in about 6 and met Karen at her new apartment. After unloading the whole van we walked to a crepe place. For dinner Dever and I had a Ham and Cheese crepe! Dessert though was the real hit. We ordered a crepe covered in chocolate with ice cream inside. Papa was afraid to eat any because, "I'm afraid I'll get bloodied in the process!" Needless to say Dever completely pigged out and hogged the whole thing. You were lucky if you managed to get a bite. Returning home Dever and I crashed on the the air mattress set up in the living room. There was a terrific thunder storm during the night, and tons of thunder could be heard. This morning mom and Karen went to breakfast together while Papa slept in and Dever and I amused our selves. Wish us luck on sightseeing today!!!

there was hail this morning. and the rain was really coming down for a few minutes. thunder, lighting, hail. . . the whole deal!
